We'll be hosting a pizza party tommorow during Lunch in room A112. We'll also be finally awarding our contest winner and talking about plans for next year. The pizza and drinks will be free for signed up members (even those signed up for next year only) so be sure to stop by and celebrate another legit year of I-Tech!
04/29/2010 | Meeting: Movie Time!
Tomorrow we will be holding our weekly meeting as usual in A112 at lunch. Here's some of what we'll be doing:
- Watching an awesome movie - not Pirates of the Silicon Valley, maybe related :)
- Talking about the MRS Gold Project and planning the awesome afterparty
- Debating the new Apple v Adobe fight on open mobile standards
- Signing those club point forms if you need

03/25/2010 | Meeting: Internet Explorer 9
Make sure to come to the meeting tomorrow Friday March 26th at lunch in A112. We will be looking at the breakthrough internet explorer 9 browser and exploring its new features. In addition we will compare this to other browsers available in terms of performance and reliability. Also don't forget to email this account with your t-shirt design! Remember to use customink.com, and price the shirt under $15 using our logo and colors and the group rate. We will be voting on the shirt designs next week, but we will be compiling submissions on Monday. Also for inspiration, we will be giving the winner a Best Buy giftcard, and a runner up a special piece of 64KB RAM.
01/28/2010 | Meeting: First Meeting of Second Semester
Our first official meeting will be this Friday (January 29) during Lunch in room A112. Feel free to bring your lunch and friends, food and drinks are allowed. Tomorrow we will be having many laptops for you and your friends to dissect . This activity is completely hands on, we will be going through the parts and functions of many of the components and will also be giving out prizes to the groups that manage to put the computers back together!
01/13/2010 | Event: E-Waste Drive
On January 23rd from 9am - 3pm, the Monta Vista Community Leadership Environmental Commission is hosting an E-Waste Drive to support Monta Vista's recycling facilities, as well as schools in Uganda. If you have any old tech (which I'm sure you do) please stop by and drop it off, and tell them we sent you :)
01/11/2010 | Event: Club Day
There will not be any I-Tech meeting this week, but please do come and stop by our booth for club day and club promo day. On promo day we will be showing off some of the cool demos we've done throughout the year and on club day we will be selling chips for $1.
01/07/2010 | Meeting: ChromeOS Demo
We will be demoing Chrome OS, the new operating system from google. We have it installed on our computers.
We will also be discussing club t-shirts, club day, and future activities.
12/03/2009 | Meeting: Lasers!
This Friday in I-Tech we will have Ben Steigerwald demonstrating interesting and practical applications of lasers. He will be showing of all kinds of stuff like fascinating laser illusions and will be exploring various features of lasers like power consumption, etc. These lasers are professional grade and do cost about $30,000 so be sure to come and see this amazing performance!
Please Note that this IS the last meeting before we start making them members only. Please turn in your membership application and fee to any officer as soon as possible. Without any kind of income for the club, it becomes extremely difficult for us to keep our club status.

Ever wondered why the Linux Lab computers suck? Most people would say it's because of the operating system, but we'll show you exactly how Linux is awesome and how can use it to accomplish everyday tasks and much more! As usual this meeting will be in A112.

10/15/2009 | MV I-Tech Meeting: District Surplus Collection, This Friday @ Lunch in A112
We have a meeting tomorrow at lunch in A112. During this meeting we will be talking about different operating systems and helping Sal moving hardware out of classrooms.
Also please be sure to bring $5 to the meeting so you can be checked off as an official member!

10/15/2009 | MV I-Tech Meeting: Green Screen Demo, This Friday @ Lunch in A112
We have a meeting tomorrow Friday the 16th during lunch in A112. We will be demoing a green screen video effect and how you could do this at home with only some green paper and windows movie maker. This meeting will also feature "A new type of brown" so be there.
10/01/2009 | MV I-Tech Meeting: Networking Demo, This Friday @ Lunch in A112
This week's I-Tech meeting will be our very first networking demo, where we will show you how to set up your very own Local Area Network as well as play a game of Quake 3 or StarCraft with your friends (Don't worry if you don't have the game, we can get you set up at the meeting). This meeting will also be our very first BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) meeting. So feel free to bring a laptop (heck, bring two if you want!) and join us in the fun. As usual, meeting will be held this Friday, October 2nd at Lunch in A112.

Our next meeting will be tomorrow, Friday Sept. 25th at lunch in A112. We are very lucky to have Akshay Dodeja, an MV graduate of '04 and former president of Robotics speaking about his experiences with technology, pursuing goals, and the company he founded.
